Addis Standard, one of Ethiopia’s leading independent media outlets, is expanding its multimedia production capacity. The company seeks creative and passionate professionals to join its growing digital and studio production team.
Position Summary
The Intern Cameraman will assist in both field and studio production, supporting video recording, lighting setup, and basic editing tasks. The intern should have hands-on experience with camera operation and post-production software, and will help create multimedia assets and AI-assisted voiceovers under supervision.
Key Responsibilities

Capture high-quality video footage for news, podcasts, and social media content.

Assist in studio lighting, sound, and camera setup.

Edit short videos and clips for Addis Standard’s digital platforms.

Collaborate with content creators to collect multimedia assets and assist in AI-generated voiceover creation.

Support editors in preparing visuals for livestreams and podcasts.

Maintain and organize camera and production equipment.
About You

Diploma or degree in Film, Journalism, Communication, or related fields.

Basic experience in video editing (Adobe Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve).

Understanding of framing, lighting, and camera operation.

Interest in AI tools for multimedia production (voiceover, captioning, or automation).

Eagerness to learn and passion for visual storytelling.
