Job Summary
We are looking for a highly skilled and culturally competent Chinese Language Translator who is fluent in Amharic and English, with preferable knowledge of Somali, to support communication across multilingual teams, clients, and stakeholders. The role involves providing accurate and context-sensitive translations of both spoken and written materials from Chinese to Amharic/English and vice versa, and optionally into Somali.

Education

A Bachelor’s Degree or certification in Chinese Language Translation.
Qualifications

Fluency in Chinese (Mandarin), Amharic, and English is required.

Proficiency in Somali is a strong asset.

Proven experience in translation and interpretation (both written and verbal).

Strong understanding of the cultural context of the languages.

Ability to work independently and within multicultural teams.

Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills.

Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Word, Excel, translation tools).

Previous experience in government, NGO, or international organizations.
