Civil Engineer / Architect

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and motivated Civil Engineer or Architect with 2 years of experience to join our team in Addis Abeba & Sheger City. The ideal candidate will support design, planning, and on-site execution of construction projects while ensuring quality, accuracy, and compliance with project requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed drawings and plans using AutoCAD and Revit
• Assist in project design, planning, and execution
• Prepare and review BOQ (Bill of Quantities)
• Conduct site inspections and monitor construction progress
• Ensure all work complies with drawings, specifications, and standards
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders
• Maintain accurate project documentation
• Monitor project timelines and report progress updates
• Identify and resolve technical issues on – site
• Assist in material selection and cost estimation
• Ensure health and safety standards are followed on-site
• Prepare reports and documentation for project updates

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience
• Strong knowledge of:
  • AutoCAD
  • Revit
  • BOQ preparation
  • Site supervision
• Strong proficiency in required software tools and proven hands-on experience in construction and site work is strictly mandatory
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in both design and site execution
• Knowledge of local building regulations and standards
• Strong problem-solving and coordination skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Good knowledge of 3D modeling and preparation is a plus

Compensation & Benefits:

• Gross Salary: 15,000 ETB
• Transport Allowance: 1,500 ETB
• Responsibility Allowance: 2,000 ETB

Contract Type:

• Duration: 1 Year (Renewable based on performance)
