Genesis Fish House has operated in the specialty restaurant sector since 1996 E.C and has grown into one of Addis Ababa’s top destinations for cultural and international fish cuisines, serving both local and international customers. The restaurant currently has three branches across the city: the first around 22 Mazoria beside Yohannes Kitfo, the second in the Bisrate Gebriel area, and the third at the Summit Fiyel Bet location.
The company is now expanding into new business lines, including import, and preparing to enter export, catering, and coffee services. To support this growth, the organization is moving toward a holding company structure that oversees and coordinates multiple subsidiary companies. This organizational study has been initiated to support that transition.
Role Description
This full-time Junior Accountant position is based on-site at Hilton Addis Ababa in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The role includes day-to-day accounting activities such as maintaining financial records, reconciliations, report preparation, and managing invoices and payments. The position also contributes to financial audits, budgeting processes, and cost control efforts while ensuring adherence to company procedures and local regulations.
About You

Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in the position

Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and account reconciliation

Skills in bookkeeping, budgeting, and invoice processing

Good knowledge of accounting software and spreadsheet programs (e.g., Excel)

Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational abilities

Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team

Educational background in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline

Hospitality industry experience is beneficial

Proficiency in English; additional languages are an added advantage
