💼 About the Job
Soufflet Malt Ethiopia is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to support our finance department in maintaining accurate records, ensuring timely payments, and assisting with financial reporting. This position requires strong organizational skills, a high level of accuracy, and a proactive approach to accounting and documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Record Maintenance

Maintain accurate financial records by entering transactions into the accounting system.

Ensure all financial documentation is properly filed and organized for audits.
Accounts Payable & Receivable

Process vendor invoices and payments on schedule.

Manage billing and collections efficiently to maintain healthy accounts receivable.

Verify invoices against purchase orders and goods receipt notes.

Reconcile vendor and customer accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and customer orders via systems such as SAP or cash register.

Monitor and record employee expense reports in compliance with company policies.

Review and approve payable invoices with appropriate supporting documentation.
General Ledger Support

Assist in maintaining the general ledger through accurate journal entries.

Support month-end and year-end closing processes with proper documentation.
Financial Reporting Assistance

Assist in preparing financial reports such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Provide support during internal and external audits by gathering necessary documents.

Prepare reports for the CFO and Accounting Manager when required.
Compliance and Documentation

Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal company policies.

Maintain organized archives of WHT receivables and sales invoice-related documents.
Team Collaboration

Work collaboratively with the finance team to achieve departmental goals.

Participate in training sessions to enhance accounting knowledge and technical skills.
👤 About You
Education:
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Experience:
-
Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience as a Junior Accountant.
Technical Skills:
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).

Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).

Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and organizational skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities for vendor and internal interactions.
