About the Job
Birrama Digital Commerce PLC is seeking a motivated and talented Junior Frontend Developer to join its technology team. The successful candidate will contribute to the development of responsive, user-friendly, and high-quality web applications while collaborating with designers, backend developers, and other project team members.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop responsive and interactive web interfaces using modern frontend technologies.
- Convert UI/UX designs and Figma prototypes into functional web pages and reusable components.
- Build and maintain applications using React.js and Next.js.
- Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs.
- Ensure applications function properly across different devices, browsers, and screen sizes.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code.
- Troubleshoot and resolve frontend bugs and performance issues.
- Collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend developers, and project teams.
- Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement activities.
- HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+)
- TypeScript
- React.js
- Next.js
- Tailwind CSS, Material UI, or shadcn/ui
- Redux
- REST API integration
- Responsive web design
- Basic UI/UX principles
- Git and version-control workflows
Nice-to-Have Skills
- Experience with Zustand
- Basic understanding of frontend testing tools such as Jest or Cypress
- Experience working with Figma
- Familiarity with frontend performance optimization
- Experience developing reusable components and design systems
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Recent graduates and self-taught developers with a strong portfolio are encouraged to apply.
- Previous internship, freelance, academic, or personal project experience in frontend development is advantageous.
- Good problem-solving, communication, teamwork, and learning skills.
