Position Summary:
The Quality Officer will oversee the quality management processes at TruLuv Granola Plc, ensuring all products meet established safety, regulatory, and quality standards. This role involves implementing, maintaining, and improving the company’s Quality Management System (QMS) and Food Safety Management System (FSMS). The Quality Officer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives, manage compliance with regulatory requirements, and maintain certifications to support the company’s reputation for producing high-quality granola products.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Management System (QMS):Develop, implement, and maintain QMS processes to meet ISO 9001 standards.Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, certifications, and customer expectations.Food Safety Management System (FSMS):Lead FSMS initiatives in compliance with ISO 22000 and FSSC 22000 standards.Conduct regular food safety risk assessments and implement preventive measures.Regulatory Compliance:Ensure all products meet local and international food safety and quality standards.Stay updated on relevant regulations and adapt company practices accordingly.Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement food safety system.Analyze quality metrics and trends to enhance product quality and reduce waste.Team Leadership:Train, mentor, and supervise quality control and assurance staff.Foster a culture of quality awareness throughout the organization.Audits and Inspections:Lead internal and external audits for quality and food safety certifications.Prepare for regulatory inspections and respond to audit findings effectively.Reporting and Documentation:Maintain accurate and comprehensive records for quality and food safety programs.Prepare periodic reports on quality metrics, issues, and improvements for management review.Customer Satisfaction:Address and resolve customer complaints related to product quality.Collaborate with production, and sales to align product quality with customer expectations.
Qualifications and Skills:
Education: bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Food Science, Quality Management, or a related field.
Experience:Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality management within the food industry.
Proven experience implementing and maintaining ISO 9001, ISO 22000, or FSSC 22000 systems.
Skills:Strong teamwork skills.
Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and critical-thinking abilities.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and other tools Communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Certifications:
Certified Quality Management System (QMS).Certified Food Safety Management System (FSMS) Specialist.
