Safety Officer

Our core areas of expertise include the supply of a wide range of electromechanical equipment, professional installation services, preventive and corrective maintenance, comprehensive after-sales support, execution of turnkey electromechanical projects, and the rental of specialized machinery. Currently undergoing a strategic transformation, Melan is actively working to expand its operational footprint and diversify its service portfolio. As part of this growth journey, the company is seeking to attract vibrant, highly qualified, and industrious professionals to join our team in the following role:

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ability to identify and mitigate workplace hazards, Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to enforce safety measures effectively, Proactive approach to risk management and problem-solving,
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with teams, Good record-keeping and reporting skills.
• Safety Management: Promote and implement robust safety practices, including permit-to-work (PTW) systems, risk assessments, incident investigations, and emergency response planning
• Team Leadership & Training: Manage and mentor the HSE team, ensuring effective communication, training, and performance management. Develop and implement HSE training programs for employees. h
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement in HSE performance and implement changes to enhance safety, environmental performance, and compliance.
• Experience with permit-to-work (PTW) systems and high-risk work procedures. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

• BSc degree in Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) or a related field preferred. 1/2 years of experience as a safety officer in a project environment.
