We are an Addis Ababa-based Electro-Mechanical Design and Manufacturing Company specializing in delivering outstanding products and offering custom solutions in our field of expertise. Our mission is to strengthen the local economy by developing homegrown designs and manufacturing solutions, reducing reliance on imported products.
Currently, we serve the industrial sector by designing and manufacturing custom machinery based on client orders. Our services include component design, body part manufacturing, structural studies, assembling electronic control components, and sourcing products locally.
Job Summary
The Sales Engineer (Female) will serve as the primary link between clients and the company. She will manage customer inquiries, gather technical requirements, liaise with the design and finance departments, and ensure effective communication throughout the process. This position does not involve financial responsibilities such as pricing or payment collection.
Key Responsibilities

Receive and manage client inquiries at the office/workshop.

Collect and document technical requirements, measurements, and specifications.

Clearly explain the company’s services and technical capabilities.

Prepare and forward technical job requests to the Design Department.

Coordinate with Finance for quotations and proforma invoices.

Follow up with clients on technical updates, clarifications, and project timelines.

Ensure production staff can work without client interruptions.
Required Qualifications

Female candidate (preferred for this role).

Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field.

Strong technical knowledge of manufacturing processes.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Ability to convert client requirements into precise technical documentation.

Prior experience in sales, customer service, or technical support is an advantage.
Technical & Professional Requirements
Educational Background:
-
BA in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related fields.
Technical Knowledge:

Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as metal works, furniture, machining, or related fields.
Communication Skills:

Fluency in Amharic and English (both written and spoken).
Customer Handling:

Ability to professionally manage client relationships with strong interpersonal skills.
Documentation Skills:

Capable of preparing clear and structured technical job requests and reports.
Organizational Skills:

Strong coordination skills to handle communication across multiple departments (Design, Finance, Production).
Experience:

Previous exposure to sales, customer service, or technical support is preferred but not mandatory.
Computer Skills:

Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel), email communication, and basic technical software.
