CCRDA is seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our organization as a Senior Accountant, who is responsible for all postings, recording, balancing, and documentation and processing of accounting transaction. Compiles and analyzes financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, documenting business transactions. The incumbent ensures that all financial transactions are compliant with existing laws, donor regulations and internal policies.
Duties and responsibilities include
- Ensures that all the financial documents related to project funding are up to-date and according to CCRDA regulations.
- Monitors and evaluates utilization and deployment of granted funds against initial and intended purpose of the project.
- Ensures the financial statements in relation to granted funds are in line with accepted principles.
- Advises and assists member organizations in the efficient management of granted funds.
- Compiles and sorts documents, such as invoices and checks, substantiating business transactions.
- Initiates payment for employee income tax, rent income tax, deposit of provident fund, loan repayment, etc.
- Maintains complete records of monthly payroll information.
- Conducts simple and routine monitoring actives in big projects.
- Collects credit and debit bank advises bank statements and makes bank reconciliation.
- Prepare payments to settle tax obligations (Income tax, pension, withholding tax, TOT…) every month.
- Enters data every day into the accounting software and produces monthly trial balance and other financial statements
- Compiles and sorts documents, such as invoices and checks, substantiating business transactions.
- Follow up timely settlements of advances to Staffs and project implementing partners.
- Assist in the coordination of yearend audit.
- Participates in inventory taking as and when required.
- Performs other related duties as required
JOB REQUIREMENT
- Education Required: MA/BA in Finance, Accounting or other related field of study.
- Experience : Minimum of 4 years related work experience.
Additional requirement

- Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines.
- Knowledge on QuickBooks accounting software
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees.
- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with accounting software and programs.
- Good interpersonal skills & English language proficiency.

- NGO experience is an advantage.
