Job Summary
We are seeking a confident, creative, and expressive Actor to bring scripts and creative concepts to life through engaging performances in social media content and other media productions.
The successful candidate will interpret scripts, portray assigned characters, deliver dialogue naturally, follow the direction of the Scriptwriter or Video Director, and collaborate with the production team to produce high-quality video content that communicates the intended message.
Key Responsibilities
A. Acting and Performance
- Perform assigned roles in short dramas, skits, interviews, and other video productions.
- Study and understand scripts, characters, dialogue, and the intended message before filming.
- Deliver dialogue clearly, naturally, and convincingly.
- Express appropriate emotions, gestures, facial expressions, and body language according to each scene.
- Memorize scripts and prepare adequately for filming sessions.
- Adapt performances to different characters, audiences, and content styles.
- Perform multiple takes when necessary to achieve the desired result.
B. Following Creative Direction
- Follow instructions provided by the Scriptwriter, Video Director, or designated production lead.
- Participate in rehearsals and script-reading sessions.
- Follow scene instructions, movements, timing, camera positions, and blocking requirements.
- Ask for clarification when character motivations or scene requirements are unclear.
- Accept constructive feedback and adjust performance accordingly.
- Maintain consistency in character portrayal, dialogue, costume, and performance across multiple takes.
Work Location: Bole – Addis Ababa
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Strong acting, communication, and presentation skills.
- Confidence performing in front of a camera.
- Ability to memorize scripts and interpret different characters.
- Good facial expression, body language, voice control, and emotional expression.
- Ability to take direction and work collaboratively.
- Punctuality, discipline, flexibility, and professionalism.
- Fluency in the languages required for assigned productions.
- Previous acting experience is an advantage, but talented beginners may be considered.
