Chora Gas Chemical Products Factory (CGCPF) is among Ethiopia’s oldest and most reputable industrial manufacturers. Established in 1938 E.C. in Addis Ababa under the name SEDE, the company was founded by four foreign nationals and one Ethiopian entrepreneur with an initial capital of just 1,500 birr. Since its inception, the factory has specialized in producing Oxygen and Acetylene gases, Sedex Bleach, and wax products, contributing to the growth of local industry.

Mission
CGCPF is dedicated to manufacturing and supplying high-quality Oxygen, Acetylene, Sodium Hypochlorite, Floor Wax, and Shoe Polish to industries such as manufacturing, construction, healthcare, and automotive services. The company continually invests in research and development to substitute imported chemical and gas products with locally produced alternatives.
Position: Data Encoder
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. The Data Encoder will handle accurate data input into company systems, maintain organized databases, and ensure data confidentiality and precision. The role requires verifying information, resolving inconsistencies, and collaborating with team members to maintain high data standards.
Education Requirement

TVET Level III Certificate in Information Science, Information Technology, Library Science, or related fields.
Qualifications

Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in data encoding or data entry.

Excellent encoding and typing proficiency.

Strong computer literacy and familiarity with database systems.

Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Strong communication skills and teamwork capability.

Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.

Prior experience in similar roles is an added advantage.

High school diploma or equivalent; further education in computer science or related disciplines is a plus.
