It was officially registered at the federal level by the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia Charities and Societies Agency on June 6, 2011, with registration number 2330.
PAD is one of the fastest-growing and dynamic civil society organizations in Ethiopia. The organization has expanded its humanitarian, NEXUS, and development interventions across several regions, including Addis Ababa, Amhara, Oromia, Harari, Afar, Somali, Tigray, Benishangul-Gumuz, and the southern regional states.

To enhance its communication, documentation, and visibility, PAD is looking to hire a qualified and experienced Multimedia Editor & Producer who will lead the production of high-quality multimedia content.
Purpose of the Role
The Multimedia Editor & Producer will plan, capture, edit, and produce professional multimedia outputs including videos, audio, graphics, and photography. The role ensures that PAD’s communications and documentation are engaging, creative, and consistent with organizational branding.
Duties and Responsibilities
Content Production

Capture video and audio during events, field missions, interviews, and workshops.

Edit raw footage into professional outputs such as documentaries, social media content, presentations, and short clips.

Add motion graphics, branding elements, subtitles, and translations where required.
Creative Development

Work closely with program and communications teams to develop concepts, scripts, and production plans.

Ensure multimedia products reflect PAD’s identity, values, and messaging.

Produce content tailored for different platforms (social media, websites, donor presentations, reports, etc.).
Technical Work
-
Operate and maintain audiovisual equipment including cameras, drones, lighting, and recorders.

Manage post-production tasks such as voice-overs, sound design, mastering, and color grading.

Maintain and update PAD’s multimedia archive for easy access and reuse.
Support & Training

Provide audiovisual support during live events, conferences, and trainings.

Train staff in the basic use of audiovisual tools (photography, video editing, recording apps, etc.) to strengthen internal documentation.
Qualifications and Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia, Film Production, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.

Experience: Minimum of two years proven work in multimedia production (video, audio, graphics, photography) within NGOs, media houses, or creative agencies.

Technical Skills:

Proficiency in professional editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).

Strong knowledge of camera operation, audio recording, and lighting.

Experience managing the full production cycle (pre-production to post-production).

Personal Skills:

Creativity, storytelling, and attention to detail.

Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Strong organizational and time management abilities.

Effective teamwork and interpersonal communication.

Flexibility for field travel and ability to adapt to challenging environments.
