Job Overview
The Technical Field Support Officer plays a key role in facilitating and supporting the rollout of the E-Voucher system across the assigned area. The position focuses on field-level technical assistance, training, troubleshooting, awareness creation, and collaboration with partner institutions to ensure that farmers effectively benefit from the E-Voucher service.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and Coordinate E-Voucher Field Implementation

Provide field-based technical support and coordination to ensure smooth E-Voucher system rollout in the assigned Zone/Woreda.

Troubleshoot operational, technical, and logistical issues quickly and manage the distribution and activation of E-Vouchers.

Ensure all devices used for the E-Voucher application are stored, maintained, and operated correctly.

Conduct awareness campaigns with MFIs, MPCs, and agricultural experts to ensure eligible farmers register and use the system.

Collect accurate data on voucher distribution, redemption, and user feedback.

Monitor end-user compliance with established guidelines.

Analyze field findings to identify issues, trends, and improvement opportunities.

Conduct follow-up assessments after troubleshooting to confirm system stability.

Oversee routine maintenance of devices and related systems.
-
Identify technical or operational challenges and recommend realistic solutions.

Provide regular updates to the Regional Manager on issues, resolutions, and field activities.

Submit weekly and monthly activity reports detailing achievements and challenges.
Mobile Application Support & Troubleshooting

Perform regular field visits to install, configure, and demonstrate the E-Voucher mobile app for MFI Agents and MPC Officers.

Ensure all mobile devices are functional and properly configured.
-
Continuously monitor the E-Voucher system’s technical performance.

Collect and review system logs to identify potential issues.
-
Prepare technical documentation covering troubleshooting steps and resolutions.
-
Ensure accurate registration, verification, and onboarding of end users.
-
Identify implementation bottlenecks early and develop actionable improvement plans.
-
Escalate critical issues to the Regional Manager promptly.
Training and Capacity Building

Provide hands-on onboarding and practical training for newly hired MFI Agents, Cashiers, and MPC Officers.

Deliver continuous support, refresher training, and performance reviews for existing users.
-
Strengthen the capacity of E-Voucher users through regular follow-up and coaching.
Stakeholder Collaboration & Engagement

Organize campaigns jointly with MFI, MPC, and agricultural experts to promote E-Voucher adoption.

Work closely with Zone and Woreda Technical Committees and local stakeholders to resolve implementation issues.

Ensure consistent communication with system users and partners regarding updates and operational changes.
-
Build strong working relationships with stakeholders and respond to their concerns promptly.
-
Communicate clearly with beneficiaries to ensure they understand how to use the E-Voucher and their roles in the process.
