Background
The Ethiopian Media Women Association (EMWA) is a pioneering organization dedicated to empowering women in media, promoting ethical journalism, and advancing gender equity across Ethiopia.
EMWA seeks to produce a professionally crafted documentary video that captures the impact, stories, and strategic direction of its programs—especially those centered on media literacy, trauma-informed journalism, and mentorship for women journalists.
Objective of the Assignment
To produce a high-quality, engaging, and visually compelling video that documents EMWA’s initiatives, showcases their impact, and serves as a strategic communication tool for advocacy, fundraising, and stakeholder engagement.
Scope of Work
Pre-Production

Develop story concept and treatment

Conduct research, scriptwriting, and narrative outline

Handle filming logistics, scheduling, and location planning
Production

Film interviews and testimonials from staff, beneficiaries, and partners

Capture institutional activities, events, and archival footage

Filming location: Addis Ababa
Post-Production

Edit and finalize storytelling

Add motion graphics, branding, and subtitles

Manage sound design, music, and color grading

Deliver final master video (10–15 minutes long)

Required Skills

Proven experience in video production (development or advocacy contexts)
